Having a second person on hand makes maneuvering the table easier, especially when attaching the legs or testing the extension mechanism for the first time. Once assembled, the table extends from a standard dining length out to a larger size when you need to seat more guests, and the umbrella hole at the center means you do not need to disassemble anything to add shade later.
